Building Motivation Micro-credential

Identifying and completing a goal requires sustained effort and focus, which is why understanding one’s motivation is so important. Learners need to be able to understand and sustain their reason for pursuing their short and long-term goals. When learners lack clarity or don’t understand how their education connects with their values, they can be easily derailed or lose the focus and energy required to complete their program. Digging deeper into a learner’s core values helps them connect why they’re working so hard, supports recognition of their progress, and ensures they have resources to help them build motivation in congruence with their community and family beliefs. Participants who complete this microcredential will gain new tools for effectively uncovering a learner’s core values and building their motivation to reach their goals.
